Reciprocal link exchange is good for SEO, if you find high quality web page with your niche normal PR, then your link exchange will be success and your site will climb up in SERP. So these it what you must to do:
- Use Directories - go to google and search directories with your niche, for example “wallpapers sites directories” , then open sites from this directory and search contact info, then send them email. Try to convince them that link exchange with you is good for their sites. Also you can use big directories such as Yahoo.com or dmoz.com and find there high quality web pages with your niche.
- Use Search Engines- you can also use google for find your link partner, quality link partner. Open google.com and search “your site niche” links.html, “your site niche” friends.htm or any other version of name links’ pages. You will find seo friendly sites with good PR, if you send them mail with good offer they agree link exchange with you and your site will climb upper.

- Social Bookmarking - is good for traffic too, but it mostly depend on your content, if your content is quality, unique and interesting you will get good backlinks and traffic. I have get from social bookmarking 6000uv in one day and some web master get more. Those are the most popular social bookmarking sites: digg.com, StumbleUpon.com, Del.icio.us and there is a lot of other simillar sites.
- Link Exchange - is very interesting way for link building. You must find link partner with your niche and high PR, open google and write your keyword, then open all sites and contact them for link exchange or you can use some services for this and you can use popular web master forums http://forums.digitalpoint.com , http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/ and etc.
- Article Submission - When you write some intresting article on your blog, then you can write another unique article about this theme but shortly with anchor text about your main article and submit it in article directories, you will get really quality backlinks.
- Post on Forums - Write some intresting post about something, then find popular forum about this and post about your article there.
- Post Comments - Find popular blog with your niche and post comments on high ranked pages of this blog. Don’t spam, try to leave relevant comments.

I think that one of the most important way to get high rank and positions in search engines is Link Building and i will explain you why is link building important and how we can build links for our sites.

So after SEO works you must start link building. You can exchange links with sites which have same niche. You must try to get quality backlinks. Quality backlinks are links with good anchor text from high PR page’s and natural links. But google doesn’t like when you buy links on sites which have high Page Rank and when you get a lot of backlinks very fast, for example 100 back link in one day, google may be penalize your site.
